Algernon Blackwood Audiobooks
Algernon Henry Blackwood, born in Kent, England, in 1869, was a man of many talents. He was a novelist, journalist, playwright, and broadcaster, but he is most remembered today as a prolific writer of ghost stories. As a young man, he lived in North America, working variously as a journalist for the New York Times, hotelier, violin teacher and dairy farmer, before returning to England in his late thirties to write supernatural stories. Among his notable works are “The Centaur”, "The Willows", and "The Wendigo". As well as short stories, he also wrote novels, plays and children’s books. Blackwood had a passion for travel, nature, and the great outdoors, themes that often appeared in his work. He died in London in 1951, and his ashes were scattered at Saanenmöser Pass in the Swiss Alps.
